Timberjacks 2019 – Brisbane Metro Baseball

Brisbane Metro are delighted to be nominating teams to play in the 2019 Timberjacks tournament. Age groups will be Little League, Junior League, Senior League and u20s.

So what is Timberjacks?

For those of you who haven’t played at Timberjacks before - it is a 3 day tournament (6 games) on 12, 13 and 14 July. The tournament is in Lismore.

This is a friendly tournament (run along the same lines as the Div 2 tournaments) - with Metro playing teams from Wests, FNC, and Kul-Gunn and others. Typically the players participate in their age groups for our upcoming Summer season - so it gives the players moving up to Junior League or Senior League a chance to play on the bigger diamond.

Will I make a team?

Brisbane Metro aims to put ALL players that nominate into a team. However this will depend on the number of coaches and players that nominate to participate. The earlier you register the more chance you have of being guaranteed a spot.

How much will it cost?

Based on prior years, the cost of the tournament is likely to be between $150 - $190 per player.

Uniform costs are typically $70 for a shirt and cap, but Metro will accept any of the existing Metro shirts with or without a number.

Where do we stay?

You will have to find your own accommodation - in or around Lismore ... keeping in mind it is cold in July so camping might not be your preferred option! You will need to book your accommodation as soon as you can - this is a popular tournament with plenty of people looking for accommodation.
